What are we doing?
Coast Community Church exists to EXTEND our faith to non-believers, and develop real friendships that CONNECT us with one another. Together we GROW in a relevant faith, SERVE with our gifts and talents, and pursue an INTIMACY with God that helps us to live life to the full.

Where are we going?
Our vision is to be a biblically functioning community of believers that will share the message and love of Jesus Christ through word and action - both locally and globally.

How are we doing it?
Outward Focused, Community, Real, Relevant, Intentional, Creative, Fun

Section 1. Inspiration Of The Scriptures - We believe in the verbal inspiration of the Bible, both the Old and the New Testaments, and that the Bible is the sole authority for all Christian faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16, Hebrews 4:12, 1 Peter 1:23-25, 2 Peter 1:19-21)

Section 2. God - We believe in one God revealed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 3:16-17, Matthew 28:19, John 17)

Section 3. Man - We believe that man was created in the image of God. Through the sin of rebellion mankind was separated from God, and without God we are without hope. (Romans 3:19-23, Galatians 3:22, Ephesians 2:1)

Section 4. Divinity And Humanity Of Christ Jesus - We believe that Jesus is God come in the flesh and that he is both divine and human. (Luke 1:26-38, John 14:1-3, Acts 2:36, Acts 3:14-15, Philippians 2:5-12)

Section 5. Blood Atonement - We believe in the saving power of the Blood of Jesus Christ and His imputed righteousness. (Acts 4:12, Romans 4:1-9, Romans 5:1-11, Ephesians 1:3-15)

Section 6. Resurrection - We believe in the bodily resurrection of Christ Jesus. (Luke 24:39-43, John 20:24-29)

Section 7. Ascension - We believe that Christ Jesus ascended to the Father to prepare a place for His people and is presently engaged in interceding for them. (John 14:1-6, Romans 8:34, 1 John 2:1)

Section 8. Second Coming - We believe in the visible, bodily return of Christ Jesus to this earth for His Church and to judge the world. (Acts 1:10-11, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10, James 5:8, Revelation 1:7)

Section 9. Salvation - We believe that the terms of salvation are repentance toward God from sin, and a personal heartfelt faith in the Lord Jesus Christ which results in regeneration of the person. This salvation is entirely by the grace of our Lord and not of works. Works are excluded except as fruit of salvation. (Romans 4:1-5, Romans 5:1, Ephesians 2:8-10)

Section 10. Church - We believe the Church Universal consists of all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, (according to Section 9) and that the local church is an expression of that body in a particular place and time, who assemble to worship, carry forth the great commission, and minister as the Holy Spirit leads. (Matthew 16:18, Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 2:40-47, Acts 20:28, Ephesians 5:22-32, 1 Timothy 3:15

Section 11. Sacraments - We believe that the two sacraments of the Church are Water Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Water Baptism: Immersion in water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Water Baptism is a symbol of identification with Jesus Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection, typifies the death of the old man and the resurrection of the new man in Christ, and is done in obedience to divine command of the Lord Jesus Christ. Lord’s Supper: A remembrance of the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, and a time of self examination and renewal for the believer. (Luke 22:13-20, Matthew 3:15-16, Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 8:38, Romans 6:1-4, Colossians 2:12)

Section 12. Separated Life - We believe that the believers should seek, as the early disciples did, to practice the separated life from the world and unto Christ, (being in the world but not of it) and to set standards of conduct which shall exalt our Lord and His Church and be a witness to the World. When it is deemed best for the life of the fellowship of the testimony of the Lord, the church authorities may discipline, in the spirit of love, any member who departs from the doctrines set forth in these articles or those whose conduct is contrary to the spirit and practice of this body according to the Bible. (Romans 12:1-3, 2 Corinthians 6:17, Galatians 6:14, Ephesians 5:11, Colossians 3:17, Matthew 18:15-20)

Section 13. Heaven And Hell - We believe the scriptures clearly set forth the doctrines of eternal punishment for the lost and eternal bliss and service for the saved — Hell for the unsaved and Heaven for the saved. (Matthew 25:34, 41, 46 Luke 16:19-31, John 14:1-3, Revelation 20:11-15)

Section 14. Holy Spirit - We believe the Holy Spirit to be the third Person of the Triune God whose purpose in the redemption of man is to convict men of sin, regenerate the repentant believer and guide the believer in ministering as Christ would to men. We believe that the manifestations of the Holy Spirit shall operate in the present-day churches which yield to the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit, with speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance, is available for all believers as promised by John the Baptist and Jesus, and was witnessed by the early disciples of Christ, and is evidenced by many present-day disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Luke 11:13, John 7:37-39, John 14:16-17, John 16:7-14, Acts 2:39-48, 1 Corinthians 12:8-11, Matthew 3:11, Acts 1:4, 5, 8, Acts 2:38-41, Acts 2:4, Acts 10:44-47, Acts 19:1-6)

Section 15. Divine Healing - We believe that physical, emotional, and spiritual healing may be appropriated by the laying on of hands by the believers, by the prayer of an anointed person gifted by God for healing the sick, or by a direct act of receiving this provision of faith. We further believe that God also uses doctors, medicines, and other material means for healing. (1 Corinthians 12:9, Mark 11:23)

Section 16. Priesthood Of Believers - We believe that each believer is a priest of the Lord and has direct access to the Father through the Lord Jesus Christ. All people must believe for themselves, be baptized for themselves, obey for themselves, and answer to God for themselves. (Revelation 1:6)

Section 17. Ordained Ministries - The ordained ministries of the church are apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher. Apostles, prophets, evangelists and teachers shall not necessarily all function in one local church. However, it is believed that all these ministries should function under the auspices of a local church. (Acts 15, 1 Timothy 5:17-21, Titus 1:5-9, Ephesians 4:11)

Section 18. Freedom Of Conscience - We believe in freedom of conscience, that all individuals are responsible for their own choices and behavior. Even though God has ordained both civil and spiritual authorities, we believe each person to be directly accountable to God, thus all service, civil and religious, should be rendered voluntarily, joyfully, and from a free conscience.
